Post by: maiznblu_757 on December 31, 2011, 01:33:11 PM
Who: Cherokee N997TB w/5 souls onboard
What: Emergency landing in field
When: December 31, 2011 (1700Z-1730Z)
Where: Approximately 14.5 miles Northeast of KTVC

No more than 5 minutes after (finally) installing the LiveATC.net app on my iPad, I turned on my KTVC feed and heard this.  No word on the condition of the pilot or pax.

Everyone is fine. He put it down in a local farm field about 3 miles or so north of me.

Good to hear. Luckily there's plenty of room up there in northern MI for incidents like these.
