A Morningstar Air Express Boeing 727-200 freighter, registration C-FMES performing flight MAL-7050 from Toronto,ON to Winnipeg,MB (Canada) with 3 crew and hazardeous materials on board, had just taken off runway 33R, when the crew reported an inflight emergency due to the shut down of an engine during departure. The crew levelled off at 5000 feet. The crew turned over to Lake Ontario, climbed to 7000 feet and dumped fuel. The airplane landed safely on runway 05 approximately 50 minutes after departure.

NAV Canada reported, that the thrust reverser #3 indication illuminated immediately after the landing gear was selected up.

The airline reported, that the thrust reverser indication is believed to be a false.

nice! better safe than sorry.... well now i cant go swimming with all the fuel in the lake now lol
