(From Aviation Accidents)

A Piper PA-28-180 Cherokee, registered to Plus One Flyers, N9687J, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at San Diego-Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport (MYF/KMYF), California.
The pilot and three passengers were not injured. The airplane was being operated on a personal flight to Torrance Airport (TOA/KTOA), Torrance, California.
Preliminary information indicates the airplane crashed on takeoff. However, the FAA reported that the airplane "crashed while returning to land after after takeoff in a field."
A review of the ADS-B data shows that the airplane departed runway 28L and conducted a climbing left turn. The ADS-B data shows a that the airplane reached a maximum altitude of 400 feet before the ground speed and altitude began to decay. The track ends over airport property.
