CHICO, Calif. - The Butte County Sheriff's Office tells Action News Now that they responded to a helicopter crash on the 800 block of El Monte Avenue in Chico.
Authorities say that the two occupants of the helicopter were transported to a local hospital.
The Butte County Sheriff's Office says that the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration have been contacted to take over the investigation into the crash.
The Butte County Sheriff's Office said that the helicopter was privately owned.
