LA Coliseum Flyover (Trojan One)
« on: September 16, 2011, 04:03:02 PM »
This is audio of three fighters (aircraft type?) talking to SOCAL (for flyover) and Los Alamitos Tower (for subsequent landing) last Saturday at the USC football game.  The flight of three had the callsign "Trojan One."  The LA Coliseum is beneath the LAX final approach and some of the other flights that were on frequency were retained on this edited recording.  Cactus 106 has approach clearance temporarily canceled and is given a vector on short final to provide some additional spacing.

As a Bruin myself, I have to say I was pretty excited when I heard that major military firepower was streaking towards Figueroa Tech saying, "Target Inbound, Passing Sixteen Hundred."
