Title: KOSU- Aero Commander 500 Engine Failure Crash
Post by: all4golf on December 28, 2010, 10:11:43 PM
A Central Air Southwest Aero Commander 500 lost an engine or two doing the ILS 9R circle to 27L.  It occurred as he was on base to final from what I can tell.

Here's the story....

Eh, that sucks.  Glad to hear he wasn't injured.  I flew out of OSU for many years.  The controller in the clip is a good friend of mine.  He (the pilot) was in good hands.  Luckily there's a Columbus fire department at the OSU airport, and the crash occurred only about 2 miles down the road on base leg.
