All occupants of the home were able to escape, according to initial radio dispatches, but authorities have not yet confirmed how many people were injured or killed in the plane crash and resulting fire.

CCTV appears to show the plane diving into the residential area Saturday in Brooklyn Park.

The crash was reported around 12:23 p.m. near 10792 Kyle Avenue North, just south of Noble Parkway and Kyle Avenue. Responding crews found the home fully engulfed with flames threatening nearby structures and the fire was upgraded to a 2nd-alarm by 12:26 p.m. Evacuations were initiated for nearby homes as a precaution.

Flight tracking data indicates the aircraft involved was a single-engine Socata TBM-700, registered as N721MB. The plane had departed from Des Moines and was scheduled to land at Anoka County–Blaine Airport at approximately 12:11 p.m. It is still unclear why the aircraft deviated from its planned route.
