Heard this while I was flying into BVY.. Don't think he realized the mic was still keyed. haha
-
I think he did realize it.. Some Yahoos will do anything to be imortalized on LiveAtc ;)
-
I believe he was quite aware the mic was hot. Instead of being an asshat, he could have refused the offered short approach and kept to the pattern and extended... Very un_cool.

"Yahoo" is the perfect label for this jackass
-
Epic. I'm sure he didn't mean to do that.
-
And you just know that pilot was saying to his passenger "Hey, watch this!"
-
Of course he knew. That was the point. So, changing topic slightly, what is Turkey one niner hotel. Google brought "no joy". So I understood it wrong?

I'm betting he is saying "Cherokee 59H" (or sometimes he says 19H) and is referring to N2159H, a Piper Cherokee based at KBVY - but that's just a guess...

He's saying Cherokee 19H to N8119H and Cherokee 59H to N2159H both based at KBVY.

Hi, I'm not a native speaker ;
"Why does the guy say "does he know he is talking on the radio ?%'
I understood the ATC has juste cleared a touch and go, number 2 and then guided a plane for taxi and cross the RWY ;
Thanks for your help ;

I believe the pilot that said this was referring to the comment made by the unprofessional "Yahoo" that is the subject of this post. He was probably wondering (out loud) why a pilot would make such a comment over the air...

OK I See, I thought it was the jackass talking so couldn't figure why...
Greg.

Wow... This is interesting to say the least... Haha. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, he still had his "performance" voice on. And note how the transmission ended crisply right after his little performance was finished. I don't think that was a stuck mic.
I don't even think he was particularly against the short approach either, given that after he was given an "extend", he came back and bragged to Tower that he could "put this thing down in 30 seconds..." Sounds like he just wanted to put on a show.
