JetBlue had to stand on the brakes to miss a ground vehicle crossing in front of him and was reporting. Meanwhile, Air China kept butting in.

For the record, this event occurred on May 20, 2007 at about 2050Z.
Check the archive for 'JFK Clearance/Ground in the 2030-2100Z time slot.

Great clip and thanks for providing the requested additional information.

I think it would be a great idea to always give time and date with ATC clips, would make it a lot easier for other people to trace the occurrence back.

I missed something.  I listened to that clip twice, and I heard the Air China talking too much, but I didn't hear anything else.  Obviously I'm whacked because everyone else heard something, but somebody please tell me what it was....

At about 54 seconds into the clip, you can hear a reference to 'brakes", and "we got a number off the truck". About a minute later there's conversation about what the truck looked like.

I'm sorry, I completely misread the first post!  I thought that the near collision was between the Air China and JetBlue.
