There was a flight from IAD to PANC that returned to IAD because of fisticuffs between 2 passengers. One of them then threatened a staewardess. I saw no news coverage of this event. It ahppened Sunday night just around midnight.

If there is news I'll find it becomes true once more  hehehe. . . .

Bryan Garnett, 48, of Utica, New York, was arrested upon arrival of JetBlue flight 422 from West Palm Beach, Florida, to Boston and was charged with interfering with a flight crew and assault and battery

Hi glencar,

Any chance that United flight that returned to IAD Sunday night could have been United Flight 990 which was flying to Ghana? They returned to IAD without any media coverage and somebody on flightaware was asking about it. There was also a fighter jet in the area as well but it's unclear whether they escorted the flight back or not.

EDIT: Confirmed, yes it was!

I fighter jet in the washington DC area is nothing of any interest.  There's an air force base here.
