Title: Jazz Dash-8 wake turbulence encounter
Post by: notaperfectpilot on October 11, 2012, 07:15:16 PM
Should make a little discussion given that they were 5 miles behind and 2000 ft. higher. I tried to remove some of the noise, but all I could hear was when the crew actually reported the problem.

edited for silence and unrelated traffic.

The A320 was 5 miles ahead and 2000 ft below the Dash at the time of the turbulence encounter.  That doesn't mean the A320 and Dash were both holding level at that altitude the whole time.  If the A320 descended passed the the Dash, the wake turbulence would obviously be falling into the Dash.
