July 11th 2007 The Funniest Clip i've found at JFK
« on: July 12, 2007, 16:23:55 UTC »
Not from today but I found this link from a pilots website www.pprune.org on the AA136 thread.  This has to be even funnier than the ther JFK clips i've heard.

this is older than the hills and dates before july 11th.
tis a good clip though.
is it just me, or is the idea of putting this and other atc stuff (such as clips from the archives) on youtube a bad one? i don't like it.

I think it's okay as long as LiveATC is given credit, which in most cases it's not, so I suppose it is not okay. Philip, check the archives and use the search function of this forum; there are many funny clips to be found, many more than on YouTube.

This guy keeps posting the clips from this forum and getting different contacts from media outlets emailing him about the clips they want to use for stories etc... In a sense it's pretty much stealing audio... The least he could do would post a link for the site in the video description.

I really think that a license should be posted on the front of the sight, liveatc should get the credit that it is due...

i'm not sure with the idea of the whole 'thrusting controllers into the public light' is a great one neither, i mean... just look how many times it's been viewed.
liveatc.net should be credited, and i'm sure that the copyright still stands with liveatc.net thus in theory if somebody wanted they could peruse this further with the possibility of action being taken. (but it may be too much hassle)

Are atc transmissions in the public domain, or are they copyrighted to the FAA? gosh. this could get deep.

and yes, this clips is old but there are so many people who haven't heard it yet and i'm sure there would of been others who would of heard the clip for the first time through this thread. :)

In the US these transmissions are over public airwaves, therefore I suspect that this qualifies as public domain.

GET A LIFE AND MOVE ON TO MORE CURRENT EVENTS

Hey, chief.  "Mixed case" was invented for a reason and no, I am not referring to beer.
