Title: How are these new runways working out?
Post by: IndyTower on July 19, 2005, 11:05:12 AM
Heard this last night on the ANC feed.  The runway heading is 068 degrees, and sometime in the last two weeks or so they were renumbered from 6R/24L and 6L/24R to 7R/24L and 7L/24R.  32/14 remains unchanged. Not by any means the funniest thing I've heard on a feed, but I couldn't resist posting.

I think its great when we can communicte so well with ATC, and often it just takes a pilot to say somthing like that for them to lighten up and enjoy there days! Once flying out of East London (South Africa)  a student was getting shouted at for not being 100% of his position, a SAA(South African Airways) 737 , spoke up saying along the lines " If your wife is giving you a hard time , dont take it out on the student!" HEKTIC!
