A hospital helicopter struck a cell tower knocking its left skid off. Thanks to the quick thinking pilot and firemen, he landed on three mattresses that were grabbed from the firehouse. Interesting conversation follows....

I heard of them trying the same thing with a harrier who's gear didn't come down...it didn't end very well for the airframe.

LOL, probably where I got the information from! I saw it on the FlightAware news feed and thought, "wow, this might be interesting to hear!"

I wish my feed sounded better. I'd really love to split up the app/dep from the grd/twr freqs. I'd love to have the money to spend on a new scanner and see if that clears up the feed a bit. I've already tried changing everything else.
