Galaxy skidded off runway at HPN - snowy day
-
Didn't mean to attch it twice - both MP3s are the same.
No problem, I detached one of them for you.
I heard an aircraft went off the end this morning, but didn't know it was a Gulfstream. Thanks for the info and the clip!

I was wrong abt aircraft - it was a Galaxy:

Thanks for the picture. I think it's a Gulfstream 200 like you had first mentioned, I looked it up in the FAA Registry Database (N729QS).
-
How did they get the airplane out of the snow and back onto a taxiway ?

How incompetent are our Tower Controllers...

Gulfstream 200 = IAI Galaxy.
They changed the name of it when Gulfstream bought out IAI.

Pulled it out with a truck. I swear, I'm gonna start keeping a video camera with me at work - I was kicking myself for not having one!

With the weather this bad they probably couldn't see the aircraft. If the aircraft reported on the taxiway (which from what I got outta it he did) how was the tower guy to know?
