AUSTIN, Texas — A flight traveling from Aspen, Colorado to Houston was diverted to Austin Thursday night.
A spokesperson with Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) told KVUE that the flight, operated by regional airline SkyWest, was diverted after an "incident" that occurred during the flight.
According to flight tracking website FlightAware, the flight left Aspen at 4:43 p.m. local time and landed in Austin just after 8 p.m., more than three hours later than it was supposed to land in Houston. SkyWest confirmed Thursday night that the flight was diverted due to turbulence. Two people were reportedly sent to a hospital, but no injuries were life-threatening.
