Title: FLG4292 at KJFK 01/21/12 Smoke in Cockpit
Post by: cptbrw on January 22, 2012, 07:00:08 PM
FLG4292 had just switched to departure when they declared an emergency reporting smoke in the cockpit.  Returned to JFK and landed without further issues.  AVHearld article describes some of the issues for controllers although there wasn't a lot evident in the transmissions.  Also, most of communication with tower on return was not in the archive because of traffic on the other tower frequency.  Edited for time and relative transmissions.
