Title: Flat tire closes runway at San Antonio (KSAT)
Post by: gusty987 on February 21, 2007, 09:52:02 PM
On Feb. 15 at around 1800 CST, a Piper Malibu Meridian (single-engine turboprop), N682C, suffered a flat tire after landing on the active runway 30L at SAT. The aircraft was disabled on the runway and subsequently the Tower controller told a lifeguard flight to vacate the runway, ordered a Southwest 737 on final to go around, and switched another inbound aircraft to 30R, the GA parallel. After a few minutes, operations are switched to the other air carrier runway 3/21. Thanks to Vivazap for calling my attention to this event.
