Title: 12 Feb: Difficult winds and windshear + an emergency at JFK(1 hour long)
Post by: Carro on February 17, 2019, 04:33:45 PM
If you thougt the last clip I posted was long this one is even longer. JFK had windshear on approach to 04 and nobody could land. The wind were jumping around and they first decided to change to 22s but with the tailwind on that one they changed it again to 31 this time. I believe that this was also after the night shift had started so they were only two controllers in the Tower and two controllers in the TRACON. They were busy.
In the middle of all that JetBlue 445 came in as an emergency reporting that the bleed system in both engines wasn't working properly.
