Off topic really but the controllers comment at the end of the clip bothered me.  He chastises a pilot for making a long landing saying he should have asked permission for that.  While courtesy to others may be an issue, it is really required to have clearance to make a long landing or is a landing clearance really restricted to using only part of the runway?

To my knowledge a clearance to land is a clearance to use as much of the runway as is needed for as long as necessary.  The exception is a land and hold short clearance which must be explicitly accepted and may be declined.  Minimum time on the runway is always a goal but gusty wind conditions or poor approach speed control are two examples of factors that might cause touching down to be delayed beyond the normal range.
