A private experimentally built Arion Lightning LS-1, registration N60MY, experienced an apparent approach stall/spin and a subsequent impact with airport terrain while on final approach to land at Zamperini Field (TOA/KTOA), Torrance, California.
 The two people onboard were fatally injured.
Review of the flight data shows that the aircraft was conducting touch and goes at KTOA. The aircraft was on final approach to runway 11R when it came down.
