Yes, sad indeed, but the story is incorrect. There's a lot more to it, as reported from other sources.

Ok what more is there too it than what is being reported in the media? This is his second crash. Did I miss something?

This appears to be the one.

Accident occurred Monday, September 01, 2003 in Uniondale, IN
Probable Cause Approval Date: 01/24/2005
Aircraft: Beech B36TC, registration: N8018J
Injuries: 3 Fatal,1 Serious,1 Minor.

The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident as follows:
The pilot's inaccurate preflight planning which resulted in an inadequate fuel supply and subsequent fuel exhaustion. Factors associated with the accident were the low ceiling, dark night conditions, and the utility pole which the airplane contacted during the forced landing.
