"In the Hudson" Real Time
« on: January 07, 2012, 02:19:44 PM »
This is old news, but still riveting. Keep the curser on the pause button so you can read dialogue between PIC and F/O.
For some reason, at least for me, the video starts at 1:47.

The "#t109" tells youtube to start playing at 109 seconds (1:49). Remove this to start at t=0.

This one has the same animation but a little more audio and radar overlay. Note the birds are indicated on the radar.

Irony.  Sully says "Wow what a view of the hudson today" just before the birds.

That can't be, the best Captain in history wouldn't break Sterile cockpit...  I kid, I kid..

I'm looking hard for audio of the HOT-1 and HOT-2 channels.

I cannot find it anymore amongst the pile of reconstructions of the Air-to-Ground communications.

I'm interested in the Captain-to-F/O audio, apart from just reading the transcriptions.  I know there is actual audio somewhere.  Does anybody have the mp3 or link?

There is no audio.  The Hot-1 and Hot-2 channels are taken from the cockpit voice recorder, and are not transmitted.  CVR audio is not publicly available.
