Correct me if im wrong Rob....

If he knows the airport you speak of, he can see if it is a controlled (as in a guy in the air traffic control tower the pilot would talk to in order to land there...) or uncontrolled...(In which case the pilot broadcasts on a frequency called a unicom, which is monitored by all traffic using that airport and/or local airspace. The pilot announces his intentions as he flys them....like, taking off runway 24, or turning final to land at runway 24)

Therefore he cas assume by looking at the airport's details if he would have been on a Unicom or otherwise.

Hoped this helped. im tired.

I actually live less than or about a mile away from Lincoln Park. Took me 27 minutes 40 seconds to walk from the airport back to my house.

Lincoln Park is now covered by the KCDW feed, and the reception is good, even picking airplanes on the ground.

In future, this will be a useful feed next time there is an incident at Lincoln Park.
