Dodger Stadium - Opening Day Flyover
« on: April 15, 2010, 01:09:15 AM »
Here's audio of Hawk 1-1 (flight of four) comms with SOCAL (135.05) during the opening day flyover.  Looked and sounded great from Pasadena.  Locals will get a kick out of how the pilot butchers the pronunciation of Tujunga.  I also hadn't heard the term "Rolex" used in this manner.

 :-D

After hearing this clip a few times it becomes very clear that HAWK 1-1 was doing some aerobatic maneuvers, nice to hear him flying over the Tujunga dam (and after looking it up at wikipedia) the Tujunga wash.... Great audio... !

I'm no expert on this, but according to the following link it's "Rolex: (n.) A delay that is to be applied to a previously planned time for commencement of an activity"

Found here at the The Aircrew Dictionary
