Title: Did anyone catch the mid-air near Antioch, CA on 2/19 around 7:00PM

Just downriver from me.  Sounds like the Beechcraft came in a bit under the R-22.

A little confused as to why the Beech continued all the way to Byron (where he landed short) rather than turn back towards Rio Vista. 

Some of the news articles state the crash happened over Rio Vista Muni, but I saw the crash site of the Robinson... right off of Hwy 160 about 7nm SE of the field.  Even at full cruise, I doubt that R-22 was over the field when it happened.

If anyone has the clip, could you point me in the right direction?  Maybe Norcal Approach?

They probably would of been talking to Travis App, I used to run that feed but it hasn't been up for quite some time. I doubt they were though, they were most likely on a UNICOM freq. Chances are slim that there would be any communication picked up here. Glad no one was seriously injured.
