Early this morning, a Delta Air Lines flight was forced to divert due to a mechanical issue. Though there was an issue, there were no injuries to crew or passengers.
Uneventful diversion
Last night, a Delta Air Lines Boeing 737-800 took off from Tampa International Airport (TPA) and headed to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). During the flight, a pilot reported a mechanical issue, which led to a diversion. Shortly after midnight, the 737 landed at Bradley International Airport (BDL).

According to a report from WFSB, there were 109 passengers onboard and six crew members. After landing in Hartford, Delta worked on accommodating passengers to Boston. THe airline issued the following statement,
Delta flight 1439 from Tampa (TPA) to Boston (BOS) diverted and landed safely in Hartford, Conn. (BDL) after the crew received an indication of a mechanical issue. Delta teams are working to get these customers to their final destinations today, and we apologize for the delay in their travel. The safety of Deltas customers and employees remains our top priority.
