Nice job on the audio file. Sounds like it was completely contained, a nice switch from the 380 incident. I especially like aTC asking the reason for the engine shutdown Answer:"uh, it stopped working?"

ATC: Delta 196 can you tell the reason for the engine shutdown?
Delta: It's... ah... Failed in flight.
ATC: Failed in flight!?
Delta: Yes.
So it failed - in flight... Really...? :-D

Is this Shannon Ireland. The reason is?...." I turned it off for the hell of it to see if the Sim Training would be similar to the real world... the kept saying good morning and good day, that crew was calm as heck. I don't think any of those ATC guys have been in the cockpit when your N1 gauge, and EGT goes to zero!!!

Is this Shannon Ireland.
