Title: DAL361 Emergency
Post by: captkel on September 12, 2015, 10:30:18 PM
On Sept. 10, 2015 Delta 361 from Atlanta to Montego Bay diverted to Miami. I heard them declare an emergency however that did not get recorded on the audio archive. Here is what I was able to record from 17:21 to 17:34 UTC on the Miami Center Bimini sector frequency.

They were having problems with their cockpit displays and that some of their engine instruments were "blanking out".

This second audio clip picks up at a point where DAL361 contacts Miami Approach and continues all the way to landing.  Unfortunately, there is no Liveatc coverage between the ZMA Bimini sector and Miami Approach...,

Here is the Aviation Herald article.

By the way, there is usually coverage from the Bimini Sector to Miami Approach overnight from around 9 PM to 8 AM local time.  4 Sectors usually get combined at that time and if I remember to do it,  :? i'll scan them too. The low Sector (135.6) that he was handed off too is transmitted from Bimini in the Bahamas. That's about 72 miles away from me.  :-D
