CYYZ Boeing 767 fuel spill on takeoff
« on: September 25, 2007, 11:43:56 AM »
ACA084, a Boeing 767, departed 24/Sept around 6pm EDT, had a report of fuel spill on Rwy 24R upon takeoff.    I heard another aircraft (ACA1130) later on flying above it reported smoke/trail (on my way driving back home)

Starting at 22:04 into the clip, ACA878 in position 24R reported seeing ACA084 venting fuel upon taking off.

Runway 24R was closed for a while.  Traffic was routed to Runway 15L for landing

At 24:00 into the 2nd clip, ATC said "hope everything worked out right", Pilot responded "Yeah, just like the sim"

AC084 returned safely with Emergency equipment standing by..

On a side note, ACA878 itself seems to have a problem as well, returning to YYZ after an hour into the flight after passing the Ontario/Quebec border, this is according to Flightaware.com
