Nice catch by the controller. Didn't hear the pilot call the abort. Only heard something strange on the radio and saw something wasn't right and immediately sent 976 away.
You can hear a bit of the aborting pilot's training coming into play. When we abort takeoff, we're immediately trained to tell ATC who we are, what we're doing, where we are, and if we need assistance. ATC is primed to send the trucks out on an abort. So we try to let them know we're okay as soon as we can.
