CPZ5763 Numerous Injuries KRNO
« on: February 14, 2019, 02:22:42 AM »
CPZ5763 from KSNA to KSEA had to divert into KRNO today for multiple injuries and possible incapacitated flight attendants and pax. This storm has definitely been wicked here, with severe turbulence reported across the Sierras.

Had to pick apart numerous ZOA feeds so the beginning of the clip is missing parts due to low reception and multiple frequencies. The rest of the clip is ZOA Sector 44, approach, tower, and ground.

Yup, this made our local newspaper: https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/flight-to-seattle-diverted-after-severe-turbulence-3-injured/

Looks like three people were hospitalized: two pax and one flight attendant.

Incredible experience that must have been. I've read they nose dived a couple times very badly. Hoping those passengers and attendants to be OK soon!

Thanks for sharing, Fryy!
