Tonight some anti-aircraft building lights a few miles from KEWR malfunctioned and got stuck in the ultra-bright daytime mode. They were fairly close to the final approach path and looked like strobes or runway identifier lights. Almost every plane mentioned it, and some noted how annoying it was. Bonus joke by the controller at the end.

This actually just happened, but I had to wait an hour for the archives to be available.  This compressed 6-minute clip covers an hour of audio.

Hello,

Thanks for sharing.

The feed is Aug 2 01:30 UTC and the next half hour. Tower transmission are way more clearer on TCA frequency if you wanna check it out and retrim the clip with a better Tower audio.

Best regards

Indeed, although TCA only has the controller, so it might be a bit tedious. Normally there's another much better Newark tower feed, but that one's been broken for a month (loud tone/distortion).

Edit: Actually, I figured out a way to do it faster. You can just sync the TCA with the rest.
