Controller confuses emergency aircraft callsign

Ooops. :roll:

Reminds me of a recent discussion here, whether a "mayday" should be appended to a callsign, when an emergency was declared (some pilots do so). Seems an additional "mayday" wouldn't have been any harm here, when the pilot switched from approach to tower frequency - at least on initial contact. Of course, there was enough time to resolve the confusion, so it wasn't a big deal. Still, tower wasn't immediately aware she was already talking to the emergency - which is not good.
