On Wednesday, June 11 2014, a Cirrus SR22, N813JE experienced loss of engine power while turning final and was forced to make an emergency landing.  With few options for an emergency landing from low altitude near the Burlington Mall, the pilot deployed the Cirrus parachute system.  Another aircraft from East Coast Aero Club, Citabria N1811G was doing circuits in the pattern and orbited overhead to assist.

The aircraft landed in a marshy area near the Burlington mall (Long Meadow) and the WRKO radio towers.

There were two aboard, both exited the aircraft with no injuries.

I edited the clip from LiveATC archives, with some dead space and non relevant communications deleted.  This is my first LiveATC audio clip.
