AWE1651 at PHL blows tire on takeoff
« on: August 07, 2010, 05:18:26 UTC »
AWE1651 (US Airways) departed PHL and blew a tire on takeoff.  Subsequently returned to PHL after burning off fuel.  Did the best I could but the audio file takeoff to landing is choppy at times due to multiple frequency coverage on the available feeds.

Thanks for sharing.

The comms with ground after landing seem somewhat disorganized, confusing and unhelpful to the crew IMO.

I missed the part where the crew decided to turn back to Philly instead of going to Charlotte..?

The decision to return was made after the switch to Washington Center on a channel I don't believe is covered by a feed here.
