The the American getting the single operating certificate, I think it would be neat to track the last "cactus" flight wherever that may by, I imagine somewhere on the west coast?

Probably lots of arrivals similar to AWE797, landed KPHL this morning, 'Cactus out'.

Looks like 774 might be the last "Cactus".

Great find. And if this one is it a good signoff.

This "Cactus" looks like it's a little bit behind 774...

All the other AWE flights behind 729 seem to be "American".  Noticed though that FlightAware will bring up both flights whether you type in AAL774 or AWE774 (or AAL729 or AWE729).

Flight Explorer, which I'll take over Flightaware for accuracy, is showing this flight as AAL729.

Do commercial pilots not like the cactus call sign?  Dude seem a little too happy about not having to use it anymore!

'East' vs 'West' rift still there, years after 'US Airways' and 'America West' got together.
AWE797's captain is ex-US Air; for some 'East' pilots, it appears the 'Cactus' callsign remained unpopular ... to the end.
