Post by: mari on August 25, 2008, 10:57:32 PM: Enjoy this radio communication. Transcript is attached. The pilot of JAL47 reports about the smell of volcanic ash. What's your opinion? I think Japanese pilot is rather patient, isn't he?

Makes sense with the Russian accent of the controller and the use of metric airspace...

Post by: Heading090 on September 02, 2008, 11:45:15 AM: "Magadan control" can be clearly heard on at least a couple of occasions. And Magadan is in Russia. Another give away - metric flight levels.
