Enjoy this radio communication. Transcript is attached. The pilot of JAL47 reports about the smell of volcanic ash. What's your opinion? I think Japanese pilot is rather patient, isn't he?

Intertaining clip and funny too. Sounds like a comedy skit (with some imagination). The ground controller sounds a bit Russian to me?

Makes sense with the Russian accent of the controller and the use of metric airspace...

Yes, it was the accent. Harasho.

"Magadan control" can be clearly heard on at least a couple of occasions. And Magadan is in Russia. Another give away - metric flight levels.
