Chilling stuff!  I was very shocked when I was listening to this.

Pilots never like to get phone numbers to call; but at least it was not directly their fault.  Glad that this was not a fatal outcome.

Thanks Dave for posting that.  You can never get a good feel for an operational error from the news reports or the NTSB report.  It's clear now that both controllers were trying to shoot gaps with arrivals on crossing runways and they apparently weren't on the same page.

I listened to the clip 2 times and I'm not sure exactly where the near miss is.  Can someone give me a time stamp or something as to what to listen for?  thanks

Listen to the Tower recording again...listen for "Close!"  It is 1:38 into the Tower recording.

Well further information on this, USA1170 was a 733 heading to PHL, he was at 200ft leaving the end of the rnwy, EIN132 was at 500ft leaving the end of the rnwy and heading to EINN, type an A333. All that from Passur....

If anyone cares to view the incident, it starts at about 19:38...

That pilot did not see him till late! almost to late sadly.
