Title: BOS tower runway incursion
Post by: medflight5 on August 22, 2011, 12:36:04 AM
The first clip is of BOS Tower West starting around 19:57 local. JBU958 was on twy C and BOS tower cleared him across 22R. He crosses and switches to BOS ground (2nd clip) where he's told to hold for same twy opposite direction traffic which will turn off in front of him. In the meantime, tower clears COA1069 to depart rwy 22R. However, as it turns out, the tail of JBU958 remained over rwy 22R while it was holding and tower cancels COA1069's takeoff clearance. The actual time from takeoff clearance to cancel was about 21 seconds. In the ground clip, you hear the controller abruptly say "Citrus 958!" when he notices the pending incursion. Citrus' flight number was actually 299, so the controller probably meant to call JBU958. Silent parts of the audio in both clips were removed.

This is my first post/sound clip creation so feedback is appreciated.
