(All OK, that's good.  So we go from talking to about the cloud levels, pattern work, OMG PLANE DOWN, all are ok, and right back to flying.
just another day at the office.)

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Instead of taking off, a small plane ended up crashing through a fence at an airpark in Clearwater, police and fire rescue said.

It happened around 8:20 a.m. Monday at the Clearwater Airpark on N Hercules Avenue. According to authorities, the pilot of the plane was attempting to take off when it veered off the runway and went into a grassy area and fence. The reasons for this are "unknown" as of this writing, according to police. When Sky 10 flew over the area, it appeared one of the plane's wings was damaged. Whether it was from the collision with the fence or something else is unclear at this time.

In addition to the pilot, a man and a dog were also inside the plane when it failed to take off and crashed. No one was hurt, according to authorities.
