ARLINGTON, Va. —
A threat investigation led to a ground stop early Tuesday afternoon at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration said it is aware of a "reported security issue on an aircraft at Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)."

The Hearst Television Washington News Bureau reports a threat is linked to a United Airlines plane from Houston that landed Tuesday morning at the airport.

Reports indicate air traffic control received an unconfirmed threat for the plane, and asked the pilots to move to the edge of the runway. Video from our NBC sister station showed police vehicles swarming near the plane.

The airport said flights have since resumed as its runways reopened at 12:50 p.m. after a brief ground stop.

The FAA said all of the plane's passengers were offloaded from the plane.
