Thanks for that! :)

I live in Geneseo NY- past home of the National Warplane Museum and past home of that Fortress on the clip.  As a kid I sat in the pilot's seat and remember seeing her fly in the valley on nice summer evenings.  A beautiful bird.

She moved to Elmira NY when the museum broke up, and was sold last winter to CA.

Now we have to put up with Memphis Belle being stationed here.  Not so bad, really!

wing,

you live in Geneseo. I live in Buffalo.

Did you hear about the Genesee Warbirds at GVQ?

Bunch of guys with old jet aircraft (Fouga, Casa, Mig, etc.) put together a museum at Genesee Co. Airport.

This is very new, the website is still being worked on last time i checked.

Cool!

Big dollars....  I remember at the big Geneseo airshow... back when it was Wings of Eagles- there was a two plane aerobatic team flying Fouga jets there one year.  Those guys were absolutely nuts, or so it seemed at the time.  Wish I could remember the details.

It was different to see a jet fly off a grass runway...

Have you been to the airshows lately?  Smaller, but they've got the same character that the Wings of Eagles show started out with.  You can touch every plane.  :)

Haven't been to one, but i've skirted around the TFR once or twice whilst the air show was in progress. Really neat to see from above!
