Title: ATC reads poem. :)
Post by: gfw123 on February 08, 2006, 01:00:07 PM
At about 9:55 am pacific (-8gmt). KSEA feed (not the tower one) ATC reads a farewell poem to a retiring pilot. Quite long really and pretty nice.

Check it out.

What kind controllers at Seattle!

On the other side of the scale, it kinda reminds me of the time Concorde gave his farewell message to Toronto Tower and the guy up in the cab basically said "Roger"

anyone know where we could get a typed copy of that poem?? I have a friend who is nearing retirement and I think he may like that poem when his day comes in a year or so.

That was soooo cool.

Gives a human touch and emotional side to the hard work and discipline that comes with being an Air Traffic Controller/Pilot
