ASQ7097 at KJFK - Gear Problem
« on: December 20, 2010, 00:22:15 UTC »
Atlantic Southeast CRJ-2 flight ASQ7097 (for United) reported a gear disagree problem on final to JFK stating the problem was with the nose gear.  They aborted the approach and ran the appropriate checklists then did a fly-by which confirmed the gear was down.  They ultimately made a safe and uneventful landing on 31L although they were unable to vacate the runway which had to be closed until the aircraft was towed off.

Clip edited for time and limited mostly to comms with the emergency aircraft.

I worked last night & heard nothing about this. I was at dinner at the time but still, usually someone will mention it later on.
