Allegiant Air flight aborts takeoff at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (KPIE)
A runway was closed for an hour on Saturday morning after an Allegiant Air flight aborted takeoff on R36 because of a mechanical problem that left behind debris from the aircraft. In a concurrent but unrelated incident, a Cessna which had taken off from R4 whilst R36 was closed had to make an immediate return due to a 'rough engine'.
