Air China Flight Declares Mayday

An Air China flight (CCA403) declares Mayday while descending into Singapore on September 10.  The pilots reported a smoke condition and asked for priority landing into Singapore.  The A320 landed and stopped on runway 20L.  The plane was evacuated on the runway.  It turns out there was an engine fire and for some reason the crew evacuated on both sides of the aircraft, including the side with the engine fire.  There was no mention of an engine fire in the audio recording; maybe they didn't know there was an engine fire?
