Title: 8 FEB: Qatar A380 landing gear failed to retract (YMML)

Qatar Airways A380 A7-APC operating QTR28N from Melbourne to Doha fails to retract the landing gear after departure from Melbourne's RWY16. The crew stop the climb at 5000ft and request holding near the airport to run checklists and liaise with their company. Unable to remedy the problem the crew advise ATC they'll need to dump fuel and return to Melbourne.
