Title: 747 Go Around at ORD Today?
Post by: timarland on May 20, 2012, 07:55:50 PM
I know what was probably a standard go around normally doesn't qualify for an interesting clip here, but my son and I were driving on I-294 almost directly under a 747 that seemed to be about 500 ft short of the runway when he pulled up the landing gear and hit the gas.  This happened around 2pm CST today - does anyone have the audio, or was anyone listening?  The boy is really interested to find out why the pilot decided to try it again.

Thanks!

China Cargo Flight 229

Unfortunately the audio quality for ORD tower is really bad for that time period so I can't find the exact clip.
