The Hickory, NC airport was hit by high winds and a possible tornado yesterday at about 2045Z.  It knocked out power and the tower controller evacuated the tower, but was back later, directing some traffic.  Says that all he had was "frequencies", no radar.   Hangars were damaged, and airplanes and cars were flipped.  The tower controller says that the winds were 66 MPH, but later says that they were 66 knots.   The LiveATC feed was apparently up the whole time.  I cut together the feed from 2000 to 2230 and edited out the silence.
